Fashionista

For all my Fashionista friends, Here is what i was wearing on my date. Friday.

The shirt is from Walmart. The vest from GAP. I love brooches, i am always on the look out for them.

The jeans are from Buckle. Rather than buying lots of jeans that don't fit right and i end up not wearing. I buy a couple of good jeans. Buckle is my favorite place. Those are only to go out. No cleaning or cooking in those.
And i was wearing black boots tucked under my jeans....

Napkin rings

Thank you to Karin at the Style Sisters... here. I received the Napkin rings at the perfect time. XOXO. I love them!!!

Final day....Valentine day, the 14.

Love toast.

Toast you bread first and cut heart. In pan, cook with the egg inside the heart opening on medium until cooked to liking. You can flip the toast if you like it well done.
You would see the egg heart better if you cook it less. I flipped it. Strawberry jam on the heart cuted out.
Cute handmade Valentine card.

Happy Day!

The blog world is a great world. I met so many wonderful and friendly people. I like connections and support we can find here.
I would also say for all who blog...that you write and share all, for the people who love you. Not for the ones who make fun of you, criticize.

I think we all should live our lives as if someone positive would give us feedbacks. The ones who put us down and say we are not good enough are not worth it....i focus my attention and energy on the ones who give me good back.
Sending a tone of love your way. What you send always comes back to you.....XOXO

Day 13, Valentine countdown and Birthday!!!!

Today is Hubby's Birthday!!!!

I am using the big cupcake pan bought at Walmart. You can also get it on line. Devil's food chocolate cake mix. It is a good idea to use two boxes if you are scared to not fill up the molds enough. I did it with one but two would have made a better job.

Make sure you grease and flour the molds...
Let cool and freeze overnight in freezer. Always freeze cake when making fancy ones. They are easier to cut and play with. It will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Cut the rounded part flat.....The next day when frozen
Put together with icing....
The cute Handmade card says : HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Now you understand all the cupcake cards...:)
Piped cream cheese icing, Valentine M&Ms. The candies are placed in a triangle pattern.
All ready....
Black and white candles are a super cute contrast!!!
Happy Birthday Hubby, I LOVE YOU!!!!

Tutorial on fabric fortune cookie

The kids made pictures for their Dad.
This fortune cookie is made of red felt, i used a plate to trace a circle with a pencil, then i cutted the fabric. The pictures will fit nicely...
I folded the fabric. Hot gluing the opening.
Leave the sides open...
I folded the pictures, so they would bend too with the cookie.
Hot glue the connection...
Here you have it...
It is a super cute idea to wrap a small present. You could use different fabrics, like pink toile, glue pearls, ruban, lace, anything cute. Great for Party favors for an Asian theme party.
Cute gift for jewelry..... I am sure you can find so many occasions......:)
France has a great Asian influence, we have a China town in Paris. One of my favorite places.

Day 12, Valentine countdown

We had a date, we ate at Sampan, a Chinese restaurant....In Jordan Landing.
They have the best Calamari i had ever had...
So good!!!

Then we saw this movie...Cute, funny and entertaining but not my favorite.
Cute Handmade card said: If I could be any part of you, I’d be your tears. To be conceived in your heart, born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips. Anonymous.
Have a great Valentine week end!!!

Date

Getting ready to go on a date. I always try to look my best on a date. I don't want to look like i cleaned all day an chased an active 2 year old. I like to feel feminine and pretty. Hubby always gives me compliments and i like that. :)

La Caille, Utah

I have read a lot of blogs talking about how they loved beautiful gowns and had nowhere to wear them.
You don't have to be a star and going to the Oscars to have a reason to dress up . There is plenty of places to go to, where you can dress up. La caille for example....Click here. Many reception places have also Valentine diners, special soirees, Christmas celebrations. You can find very good deals also if you look on line.

Many years ago, we went to la Caille, to it's open restaurant, to celebrate Hubby's first break through, with his first business. It was so much fun, romantique and i still remember it, the French country manor, exquisite French cuisine, the beautiful rooms, wonderful garden... It's worth it, to spend some money for an Anniversary, special birthday.
Celebrate your life, friendships.... Now my challenge is absolutely to find a good deal on a dreamy dress ....LOL
