The funny things we say

I have funny kids and they say funny things and they are better than twitter #funnyquotes! And I am pretty funny myself...

Me: Why are you eating my fries?
5 year old: They taste better on your plate.

Me to 5 year old: Why do you always leave the towel in the bathroom on the floor?
5 year old: Because it's my height.

Me: NOoooooooooo!
12 year old: Mom you ok?
Me: Yes, my phone just died.

Me: Don't touch the candy for the birthday.
Kids: U got candy?
Me: crap.

Kid: What is wrong with your eye?
Me: My baby punched it.

Kid: Why is the dog following you?
Me: I am eating Tuna.
Me: Can I just eat Tuna in peace?

Husband: Get this bowl out of the bedroom it stinks like tuna.
Me: No, it's not the bowl. It's me I just ate Tuna.

Me: Who ate the cupcake in the freezer for my blog?
Husband: Me.
Me: Why did you eat it?
Husband: I don't know.
Me: Where I am supposed to hide stuff?
Kid: That's where you hide stuffs?
Me: crap.

Me: I got you roll ups for your birthday party.
Kid: Oh yeah those, they were so good.
Me:crap

Kid: Eat skittles, poop the rainbow.

Me to boy: Help me get your Birthday party ready by watching the baby.
10 year old boy: Can I go play video games?
Me: ?

Kid: Dog needs hair cut, my friend thought he was a pillow.
Me: What is wrong with pillows?

Me: I take risks everyday.
Boy: What video game are you playing?

Me: Who on earth gets a false positive pregnancy test?
Friend: You and People magazine.

Numerosity: Play with Addition! App Review

Did you know the US ranks #32 in math? It is a fact. My kids complain nightly about their math homework. Now I admit I do not actively use the complex algebra or geometry methods I learned in school but I use math fundamentals daily. It provides a foundation in jobs from everything from computer science to fashion design. Numerosity: Play with Addition, is one of those apps that I let my kids play as long and as often as they want. It simply makes learning math fun.

The app is setup in levels for kids 6-8 years old. You have the support of Skruff the streetwise dog to assist in your math learning journey. When you get stuck you can click in the hint button. You are also rated on how you completed the level. The graphics, sound effects and format is fantastic for at home or in the classroom.

Here are some screenshots from my Numerosity app experience:

At the end of the game you get a fancy certificate to show off to your parents!

Chalkboard art class by Rhonna designs

Rhonna and me

I have been introduced to Rhonna Designs few weeks ago and I was so exited when I learn she was giving a chalkboard class at Thanksgiving point, Lehi. Utah.
I signed up very quick and my kids thought I was nuts to be so happy about a "class".
I had no idea what to expect. I thought easy peasy, she must have a projector or something....
It is all freehand!
Absolutly amazing class, where Rhonna teaches you step by step how to make beautiful chalkboard art.

Here the pics of my arts:

"Spring has sprung, breathe it all in"

Below are Rhonna's creations. She is such an inspiration and the class was so much fun. I left happy about my new find talent and ideas rolling in my head.

"True friends are like the sun they always shine"

"Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind them"

I came home and my daughter jumped on the chalk obsession and was exited also while I was teaching her the basics. She made her copy of my "spring has sprung" art on the side walk.

Fabrics and sewing projects: Linky party is up!

I love fabric and sewing...Yes, I can sew. My Mom taught me when I was a kid and I am attracted to fabrics.

You are loved

1 John 3:18

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

I try to show my kids and husband everyday that I love them not only in words but in actions. I think it is easy to forget that your actions speak louder than words. I am not perfect at it but I hope that my example will help my kids know what real love, trust and living to your words means. have a happy Sunday my friends.

Our trip to St George

We spent 2 days in St George last week-end. It is 6 hours from Salt lake city and 2 hours from Las Vegas.

 Snow canyon
The St George Valley and the St George Temple
 The narrows
Baby playing in the sand

The whole crew without me

Some pics from my cell phone of the trip:
It was Spring over there with flowers blooming everywhere. Such a fun little trip.
Then we come home to Salt lake city and it snows...
Do you have anything planned for spring break?

BeforeNow iPad App Review

So much happens so fast in life especially with 4 little kids. I seem to remember the big events in life but easily forget fun and cute experiences. My 4th child is now 1 and of course she is the most photographed. As a mommy blogger I want to capture as much as I can. The BeforeNow is a tool built for Mommy Bloggers like me.  Instead of major events, it is an app for life experiences daily and for the things you want to plan in the future.

Some notable things are the ease of use, design, customization options, Facebook integration and simply enjoying using the app.

Here are some screenshots from the app:

Basic app features:

When you create an event, you can;
-Add Photos
-Create Maps
-Rate the Event
-Write a note or a little story about the details
-Select the date of the event from start to finish
-Name the event
-Name the location
-List friends that were with you

I love this tool and it is a mainstay on my iPad.

Otto's Toy Chest Android App Review

Toy story is one of my all-time favorite kid movies. It shows the precious childhood playtime and interaction with toys. Toys have such personality and need to be fixed when broken. I was reminded of this when I was introduced to the Otto’s Toy Chest app. Otto’s Toy Chest is a super cute puzzle game where kids can fix broken toys such as Stick-eee the Frog and Bobo the bear. The app teaches puzzle placement using arms, legs, hats, tails etc.

The app is great for playing at home or at school classroom puzzle activities. Here are some screenshots from the app:
