I am an American !

Today was a great day,
This morning was my Oath ceremony,
I am officially an American citizen.
It was very emotional.
I am very happy and this is a big step in my life. I will be able to vote and have a voice.
I will have an American passport.
Here is the full story if you missed it ! My Naturalization's story.

Now for the not so good news...I have been very sick for the last week.
It is from the car accident i had 1 month ago.
I will have an ultrasound tomorrow.
I may have damaged an Ovary where the sit belt was.
I hope for the best...I will keep you posted.
XOXO

Welcome to the club! What an accomplishment. I've heard the classes and test you have to take most "Americans" wouldn't know the answers to.

I hope they find out real quick what the problem is and fix it even faster... I'll keep you in my prayers

isabelle, wow! you are amazing! i don't think i could do this! i mean in the other sense, i'm an american living in france and i don't think i could become french!!! so i'm very curious, in your oath did you have to denounce your french citizenship? do you keep your french passport? i'm very interested to know. i also hope that you will start feeling better. i'm so sorry to hear that you may have incurred some serious injuries during your accident. will be thinking of you! bisous, maria p.s. once again, you are amazing, so brave!!!

I do hope that your scan goes well and you feel a lot better very very soon.

I read about Americans getting their French passports .. Now French getting American .. also Americans becoming British Citizens ... although we do not have a British Passport .. My passport says European .. do you dual nationality ? Do you miss France ? Congratulations , it does sound like it means a lot to you.
