Clafouti aux cerises

The Clafouti au cerises is very famous in French cuisine but a lot of different fruits can be used. Blueberries, any berries really. Peaches. Pears. One of my favorite is dried prunes ...surprisingly amazing! This is a great fall dessert....

Clafouti

1 cup fruits,
3 tbsp flour,
3 tbsp sugar,
3/4 cup milk
2 eggs,
1/4 tsp vanilla extract,
Grated zest of 1/2 lemon.

Double or triple the  recipe if needed.

Place all ingredients but fruits in bowl and mix well with mixer.
Add the fruits.
Butter very well your dish.
Cook at 375* for 45 minutes.
I like it cold and it is even better the next day!

Before/After

I had 2 cups of cherries there...I like it better with 1 cup.

Enjoy!
Oh, i forgot to say...This is the real recipe....There is a lot of them on line or in books...Go for this one...This is the original.

Have you got your Belle inspiration issue yet?
BEAUTIFUL! I loved it!
Go get yours!

And... thank you for your support for yesterday. You really help me when i need it!
It helps also to see your point of view!
Hugs

Parties are on my side bar.

Awww, Frenchy...you kindly and generously posted the authentique! clafouti recipe!!! Merci beaucoup mon amie. It looks fabulous and yet so simple. I just saw your last post and I am shocked that anyone would have dared to say anything so unkind to you. But it does go to show that the devil will put awful lies out there to steal your joy. And you certainly have the gift of being a joygiver. It is very sad for those people (tsk, tsk whoever you are) that they dare to waste time spreading meanness and bile, just pray for them and be thankful that your heart does not chose meanness and continue to be YOU online....I know for me you have definitely made it a much better, blessed, and lovely blog world. Thank you Frenchy.

This looks amazing! Is it that a larger quiche/pot roast kind of pot? At first I thought it was a créme bruleé dish.

Never heard of this recipe but sounds good! I love to try new things, especially in the food dept. I'm just now catching up on your blog. Your previous post sounds like someone has really upset you. If so, just try to turn the other cheek and then ignore them. If you feel you are a good writer or what ever, then that's what counts. I can't imagine anyone telling you otherwise....even if they don't think you are it's just plain bad manners to say so. Some people are either jealous or have no feelings! I think you do a great job!

Mmm. I love clafouti - especially leftover for breakfast! I like the recipe I have and I'm planning to compare it with yours. I think it's pretty close.

Have a wonderful week.

This sounds so wonderful!! Whats size caserole dish?
How do you pronounce it? If I make and eat this it will be my first french food (unless french toast counts) LOL

Thank you, once I get the other info I am going to try to make this!
