Coastal Chevron and moss bird house DIY

I thought of making a Chevron Bird house and then the brilliant idea came to cover the roof with moss.
The colors match my interiors, i am into coastal lately, but this house would look amazing with any color.

You will need:
A bird house,
Paint, your choice of colors, here i have white, turquoise blue and lime green.
Painter's tape
Pencil with eraser,
Moss mat available at craft store,
A decorative knob,
Drill for the knob hole.
Hot glue gun.

Paint the bird house body with the white, base and roof with the green

Using your tape, trace a grid and a line in the middle vertically. You want to make rectangles.

I started my Chevron stripe in the middle and then used the tape to get even stripes.

I then painted between the tape stripes, took the tape off and erased the pencil marks. Painted  the Chevron design on all sides.

I covered the roof  with moss using a glue gun. Drilled a hole and screwed the knob.

My bird house collection is growing

I adore the turquoise Chevron stripes! The Chrystal knob is so precious.
Have a super day!
