Brown sugar yams and marshmallows recipe


Brown sugar yams and marshmallows

2 big cans of cut yams or fresh already cooked yams,
1/2 cup of brown sugar,
1/2 cup water,
1 bag marshmallows,

In pan, on high heat, "melt" your brown sugar for few seconds. Add your water and stir. Add the yams. Stir.
Pour in your dish and top with wanted amount of marshmallows.
Bake in oven at 350 until marshmallows are roasted.

those look so yummy, and not GD friendly! I think I'm due about the same time as you and I too have gestational diabetes. This will be our 6th little joy and I've never had to deal with this before. It stinks! (especially during the holidays!) However, like you said, it is worth it to feel better and have a healthy (not enormous) baby. (We also are expecting our "second" baby in the wilderness of our afflictions. ;) Life is not as smooth as we wanted, but we know this little man is coming to the right place at the right time... all will be well.) Take care.

This is my favorite part about Thanksgiving dinner...love the yams! I put this on mine too along with cinnamon and sometimes chopped pecans and coconut! :D
