Getting ready for Thanksgiving

Angel working hard on my nice couch...
What is it with animals...They always end up on the nice furniture...

I have set up the table for Thanksgiving, i am missing few pieces...

I added curtains on the window and a tinsel trim to the chandelier shades...

Here are the tablecloths. I still used my Gingham in the middle of the table...

My center piece for Fall still works...

I have copper film on the windows. The owner of the house doesn't want to let me take it out. So, the house is a cave and a real struggle for me to take pictures. I had the camera set up on "night" to get more light....Nothing like natural light...even with a good camera !
So here is an advice from experience....Film goes on top windows when you have high ceilings. Not on normal windows....Use curtains, sheers...I have to turn on the lights even during the day. SO it is not a way to save energy...

Now to the menu...

Well, it looks gorgeous! I don't have to set a table since we will be visiting. BUT I am looking forward to getting out my Scotty dog dishes I got for Christmas last year.

What a lovely home you have! It looks delightful! You are so right about our animals...as I'm writing this I have one kitty sleeping in the other office chair and one kitty draped across the desk! Just how I like it!
My best to you!

Lovely tablescape. I love the black and white transferware and the gingham. I appreciate the issue of insufficient light...I've just removed the plantation shutters from our dining room windows, and the difference is amazing. I'm not going to reinstall them...going with sheers and panels instead. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
