I'm currently having a love/hate relationship with some sort of "regular" birds at my house. I don't know what I'd do with a woodpecker!

Traci...They are very annoying,
Merci Mahon....Yes, Jan...I think he is confused :)

In another house we lived in we had a major problem with a wood pecker and it was SOOOO loud as he pecked on our home. My husband went to war with it! Joni

We always get those because our neighbors have big ol' trees. I can't help but crack up! They are so crazy and how does their head stay on? LOL!

Yes, woodpeckers. One of them has been tapping our roof for days now. I love birds, but this one is a tad annoying.

Oh my! I love the sound of a woodpecker - especially in the morning when waking up. BUT, I'm pretty sure I would hate it if the silly guy was busting on my house! I've never heard of such a thing...I hope he gets straightened out soon!

They love the stucco on the houses here in Utah-its really fun as they are endangered species and so you cannot do anything and pest control cannot relocate them. But they are scared of flashy metal objects and those fake owl decorations.

Hahaha...They are super beautiful! Today one was on the other column. A different one. Black and white with blotchy spots. He was pecking and i was telling him to go away...The darn thing did not get scared at all. I tried to trough a rock....Don't worry. I can't throw. LOL
He would not budge!
Fake owls i heard too. Work very well! I may end up with one. The kids may steal it though...feed him to the dogs...Oh well.LOL
I am glad the preservation is working because they are everywhere in Utah!
Thank you so much for the comments and info :)
