Hi Frenchy,

I haven't seen this movie...did you get the DVD to watch or go to the theater? I like waiting for the DVD to come out.

I'm so behind with my blogging and keeping up with everyone. We have really made progress with the projects in the house though.

I did catch one post of yours that left me a bit confused though..haha I guess that's proof of me being behind...

Ok, so you've moved to another house?? I remember the post weeks ago about your fabulous kitchen that you said you designed..so is this the same house or a different one?

I totally understand about downsizing to get a place that's easier to maintain physically and monetarily.

We wound up with this home totally by accident...here in the mountains most homes start at $200 per square foot so we were only going for a 1000 sq ft cabin to stay in our budget...but we wound up with this house [was a foreclosure]..it's 10 years old, 2400 square feet..so we were thrilled to find it to have enough space for all of our stuff. This is our retirement home so we've made many high efficiency additions....all three levels have their own thermostat for heating and cooling which saves a ton of money each month and all the rooms stay comfortable.

Since the cold winters can also leave us with power outages and no way for the power company to get up this ridge[ if ice is on the lane] we put in a whole house standby generator. If the power goes out there is a 9 second delay and everything comes back on as if nothing happened. It is powered with propane.

Next spring our focus will be outside...we are going to build our own shutters, porch gate and plan a raised container garden to grow enough food for just the two of us. So that won't be too big. :0)

Well..now that I've written 2 chapters of a book I'll close for now. :0)

Drop by when you get a chance.

Stephanie ♥

I will find time to see this movie. I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about it and I think I can’t wait any longer to see it.
I admire married people who are still taking out each other on a date. That is precisely correct, married life should not be limited to just the four corners of your house or room. Sometimes, it pays to go on a movie or dine in a fancy restaurant- just the two of you!

May Your Day Be Lovely,
