Cookie mix jar gift

I made those cookie jars gifts for Christmas 2008. A great idea would be to make it for a Birthday depending on seasons. Change the fabric and ingredients. Like valentine M&M or strawberry ones for Summer unstead of chocolate chips. Who has a Birthday in February?
You can find one more recipie and idea Here . Although think about trying the recipe before you give it away. Mine has been tested and approved by the little crazy hands...
Cookies in a Jar

1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup orange flavored dried cranberries or dried raisins
1 cup vanilla or white chips

In glass jar layer all ingredients , cover with fabric, string , how to prepare instructions. stores for 6 months in dry and cool place.

To prepare cookies : pour content of jar in large mixing bowl, stir in 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Drop but the spoon, bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes or until a little golden at the edges.
