Super easy candy apples and concord foods candy apple kit

This year candy apples were on my list and I always wanted to try the Concord foods candy apples kit. I grabbed a bag of Gala apples. The cute tiny apples and there you go: I made super delicious small sizes and perfect for little kids candy apples.
The instructions say you need to boil the syrup for 15 minutes but I boiled it for at least 30. I did not use a candy thermometer like they say to use but the only thing you need to know is that the candy is supposed to be hard as rock when cooled. So, I kept taking samples with a butter knife and testing it on a plate until it was perfect. You have to watch as it is super hot. My 13 year old loved to help me make those, but small kids could not for safety reason. It was easy and a success!!! I loved the taste of the candy too. I recommend it! Do you have treats on your list for Fall or Halloween?

Concord food candy apples kit is super easy and delicious!

Last year I attempted candy apples. It was a serious fail. I want to try again, but this time do caramel. But honestly, after the first attempt... I'm pretty nervous about it and doubt I will even give it another go! Good job! :)

I will try again as well. My caramel apples were a flop because I used the topping caramel in the jar and not the candy caramels. And my red candy apples almost...I should have cooked a little longer. You can drop a small spoon of the red candy apple mix in ice cold water to test if its ready. Thank you for your info.
