Vintage dress Tea dyed tutorial: Sunday's best dressed

I got this dress from Shabby Apple and the colors in the dress were way too bright for me. I tea dyed the dress and I love the result. It is subtle but sometimes it's all it takes. I love this dress. So Vintage and happy!

Tea dying clothing:
You will need:
1 gallon of water
20 bags of green tea (I don't drink green tea so I borrowed some from someone who does)

Boil the water in a big pot. turn off the heat and place your 20 bags in the water. Let sit for 20 minutes or until you think it is dark enough.
Place your clothing item in the pot. Push the item around with your hand or a big spoon to get all the air bubbles out.
You will need something heavy to keep the item under water. I used a smaller pot lid upside down. Let sit for 8 hours or more.
When you want to get it out. Squeeze the excess water and wash in your washer on cold setting.
If you want your clothing to be darker. Repeat the process.
