The lovely look of Toile

Hello, lovely blog readers! I'm so happy to be here with you at Le Chateau Des Fleurs with a guest post from Arcadian Home blog. It's a great place to find lots of interior design inspiration including decorating ideas for everything from fabulous mini pendant lights to lovely rugs for the floor. Today, we get to explore one of my favorite patterns—beautiful toile with a wonderful timeless quality that never seems to go out of style. From original French pastoral scenes to some interesting new takes on the look, let's take a peek into eight rooms dressed up in toile. Please enjoy! Designer Allison Cosmos say this stunning mural was inspired by fabrics and wallpaper from Manuel Canovas which were used in a nearby room. The lovely pattern called Bengale is seen here in Paprika.

This traditional French toile in yellow feels updated and fresh paired with pure white and mixed patterns on the bed. I love the look of white contemporary lamps topped with very traditional toile shades.

This classic coastal vintage living room filled with the warm hues of sand is brought to life by seaglass blue velvet chairs and toile pillows. It's a great example of how pretty just a few touches of toile can be.

 

Another traditional bedroom is beautiful in yellow on white toile. This one has lovely neutral walls in beige hues. I love the sheer bottom extensions on the toile draperies.

Blue on white toile wallpaper is paired with white subway tile in this elegant vintage bath. It's beautiful with unexpected tan accents like the painted woodwork and tile floor.

A pale green on white toile wallpaper seems simply perfect for this small guest bedroom. Isn't the toile color pretty with the lilac vintage bedspread?

French toile is lovely in this inviting bedroom. Can't you just picture breakfast in bed served on beautiful decorative trays? What a wonderful space in which to spend a lazy weekend morning!  

And, lastly here's a contemporary powder room papered in classic black and white toile. This a beautiful wallpaper that works well with the sleek window treatment.
