The magic zoo jewelry review : Animal lover jewelry

I have been looking for jewelry and handmade gifts for Christmas and I simply fell in love with the magic zoo creations.
Artist Merry Rosenfield has been creating hand crafted animal jewelry designs since 1989. Her purpose has always been to design pet and wildlife jewelry that captures and celebrates the human-animal connection.

Many of her customers remark “Every time I wear a Magic Zoo design, friends and even complete strangers ask me where I got it!” This is the ultimate compliment; Merry hopes her animal designs can tell the world something about the person wearing it, and the importance of a specific animal in that customer’s life.

The cutest animal jewelry is at The Magic Zoo. I love my bronze sitting monkey necklace

The weather is getting cooler and I love wearing warm cardigans. This one is so warm and comfy, even if it is a maternity one I have a hard time donating it. My giraffe dress is now huge after loosing 17 pounds so a belt is perfect so I won't loose myself in it. It also helps to give me a figure. I need to start getting great pieces to replace all the clothes I am donating but purging and starting a new closet even if it is great, can be overwhelming and very expensive.

The magic zoo Bronze sitting monkey necklace  / En focus studio giraffe dress / Merona black belt / Motherhood maternity black cardigan / Ross black boots / Merona black leggings

Some of my favorites but really, I have so many it is hard to choose. I would love the see horses necklace for summer and all the earring are to die for. As you can see I am such an animal lover!

*I received a free necklace to review. The review is my personal honest opinion.

Pumpkin owl cupcakes: fun kid treat

Fun pumpkin cupcake treat for kids. They love to help assemble their own and love to eat it. Perfect treat for Fall and Halloween.  I wanted to use one of my Pumpkin recipes and make a fun cupcake for the kids. I have seen this owl with reeces candy but I don't like them so I used M&Ms. Hope you enjoy my personal Pumpkin cupcake recipe! Happy Fall and Halloween!

Isabelle Thornton's Pumpkin cupcake owl recipe

Cupcake:

1 and cup flour,
1/4 cup whole wheat flour,
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder,
1/2 tsp baking soda,
1 tsp Pumpkin pie spice,
Pinch of salt,
1 small can Pumpkin puree,
2 eggs,
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup coconut oil,
1 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips ( perfect for the size of the cupcake and small kids. It makes it less messy too)

***

Preheat the oven to 375*. Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.

In a large bowl, whisk both flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and Pumpkin spice. In a medium bowl whisk pumpkin, eggs, sour cream. Melt coconut oil in a bowl in the microwave. Let cool then add to the wet mixture.
Stir Pumpkin mixture into flour mixture. when well mixed add thechocolate chips.

Fill cupcake liners 1/3 with the mixture. Cook for 12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out dry when inserted in the middle of the cupcakes.
Let cool completely on a rack or platter.

Owl topping:
1 box oreo cookies. (2 Oreo cookies per cupcakes),
Chocolate icing of choice. ( I bought mine)
Colored M&Ms. ( only use the orange and brown colors)

Frost your cooled cupcakes with chocolate frosting.
Separate the oreos by twisting and pushing on the cookies before separating them. Only use the side with the cream on the cookie.
Place them on each side of cupcake as to make big eyes. Place one brown candy in the middle of each eyes and one orange in the middle of the 2 eyes to make a beak.

Enjoy!! My kiddos LOVE them!!

Super easy candy apples and concord foods candy apple kit

This year candy apples were on my list and I always wanted to try the Concord foods candy apples kit. I grabbed a bag of Gala apples. The cute tiny apples and there you go: I made super delicious small sizes and perfect for little kids candy apples.
The instructions say you need to boil the syrup for 15 minutes but I boiled it for at least 30. I did not use a candy thermometer like they say to use but the only thing you need to know is that the candy is supposed to be hard as rock when cooled. So, I kept taking samples with a butter knife and testing it on a plate until it was perfect. You have to watch as it is super hot. My 13 year old loved to help me make those, but small kids could not for safety reason. It was easy and a success!!! I loved the taste of the candy too. I recommend it! Do you have treats on your list for Fall or Halloween?

Concord food candy apples kit is super easy and delicious!

weight loss Before and after pictures: week 16

week 16 progress: 17 pounds weight loss. Before and after pictures
148 pounds / 32% body fat
131 pounds / 30% body fat

Before in inches:
Waist 36
Hips: 38
Chest: 41

After:
Waist: 32 1/2
Hips: 36
Chest: 39

I am still on denial when I look at those pictures. I still see myself fat and then I remember how I could only zip the zipper of that skirt in the picture half way and I still wore it and went to an event, because it was all I had to wear and "kind of fitted". pretty sad. now I can put 3 fingers between me and this skirt at the waist.
The skinniest of my jeans is not skinny anymore and all my shirts fit better than before my 3rd baby as far as I remember. I went from a size L to a size S and it is not tight.
I find myself not trying to find at the store whatever fits but Whatever I love. I am being picky and it feels powerful to me. Not being limited is a great experience.

131 pounds on my scale

Week 15: I did very good that week. I boxed 4 hours and walked 1 hour. My clean eating and calories were pretty good.
I am starting to feel good about my boxing and my moves and being confident. I have been working on keeping my wrist aligned to my body to avoid injuries on my wrists.

Week 16: I was super tired and did pretty good on my diet but I  did not work out. I thought I would just relax and stay home but it was not relaxing at all and I ended up running around and doing things for everybody. Next time I will go boxing or leave the house and do something else for myself.

Food:
I have been adding more and more veggies and eating only wheat bread and brown rice. I cut out dairy products completely and replaced it by coconut milk and almond milk.
I added some CLA supplement but only one  pill a day.
I started drinking a wheat protein shake after my work outs.

Body:
I can finally see my ribs and my collar bones. My stomach is flatter but it is my problem area and will be the last place the fat will go away completely.  I have less muscles on my legs because I stopped walking everyday but it still looks good.
The middle of my back is getting muscles. I have for the first time of my life muscles on my butt. My shoulder muscles are starting to stand out and  I am getting the curves of a fit arm. See in the picture my right arm.
My waist in not anymore underneath my chest but at my waist.
I am super happy how fit my body is transforming.
My goal is to be down to 128 pounds.

Fitness goals:
I want to start doing squats, lunges and sumo squats with weights  everyday to get stronger muscles on my legs because they are the biggest muscles on your body and burn most calories than other muscles.

I want to have more define arm muscles and do arm and shoulder exercises with 10 pounds weight on each arms everyday. I will use a You tube video.
Amazing abs so when I loose all the fat I will have a 6 pack. (my dream). Planking for 1 minute 5 times a day.

Kick boxing and boxing between 2 and 4 hours a week.

It seems like a lot but I am trying to "shock" my body to loose the last pounds and If I train my body hard enough I will get to a point where I will do less and stay fit.

I really encourage you to start exercising and eating more healthy. There is so much satisfaction in it. None in Cholesterol and diabetes that's for sure.
I am not being sponsored or seeking money from this journey or being a coach or anything. If you could be inspired and find the motivation to do it for yourself it would be amazing!
You can check my weight loss journey posts right here

Thanks to my friend Dash Cox at AlignFiles for taking my body fat. I went from Being Obese to a healthy weight. He says that 2% body fat loss is a lot and he was kind enough to measure my body fat 4 months ago and last week.
