What does being a mom means to me

Being a Mom means lots of kisses, hugs and love.
Making her feel wanted, cared for.
Holding her when she sleeps because I am too tired to do anything else.
Having my life on hold to watch her grow.
No shower and messy hair.
Lack of sleep.
Dressing her cute and looking like crap.
Dressing up and nowhere to go.
Running out the door by myself and feeling on vacation.
Catching her when she falls.
Laughs, funny faces and sounds.
Making a cardboard house, painting her nails.
Eating bananas, cheese and on the go apple sauce.
Seing her feeding the dog her food.
Grabbing everything, pushing everything, pulling everything and cleaning poop on the  bathroom floor.
Cute baby sounds...bath bath bath.
Wishing my Mom was here to help me and talk to me.
What does being a Mom means to you?

Haute couture runway hair, hairstyle DIY

This haute couture runway hairstyle is very easy. I made this tutorial step by step.
It is very Parisian runway inspired by designers like Valentino.
You will sure get noticed.

You will need:
2 anti-slip black headbands elastics.
1 small hair elastic ( I use a translucent one)
3 big bobby pins

  1. Place the 2 black anti-slip headbands on your head spaced few inches apart.
  2. Tease the back of the hair behind your head bands. I used a small brush instead of a comb because my kids lost my comb. "roll of eyes". But that doesn't stop me...
  3. Make a low ponytail with the elastic.
  4. Twist your hair to make a bun and secure with 3 big bobby pins.
  5. You can wear it like this. Great for evening outing or party, church, work. In Paris we dressed a little more up than anywhere else.
  6. Everyday look, still couture.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial

Gros bisous et a bientot

Coconut lavender oil DIY

Coconut oil is used in the French Islands so I used it growing up. I used the Monoi version with gardenia flowers in it. But you can actually buy coconut oil and make your own scents. My favorites homemade ones are Lavender, rose for the body and face as they are calming. I love vanilla in summer and in the sun.

The list of the many ways I use coconut oil:
-In my hair after the shower, it protects and makes my hair shiny and healthy.
-As a end repair solution on your hair.
-I use waterproof eye liner and a little bit of coconut oil will remove it like magic. Great makeup remover.
-A tablespoon in the bath water.
-As emergency diaper rash ointment.
-On my hands and body.
-In the sun it keeps your hair protected and your skin nourished. -Great to protect your hair from chlorine in the pool.
-Great for cooking. replace oil or butter by coconut oil

Coconut lavender oil
Small glass jars. I got mine for $4 at walmart for a set of 4
1/2 cup Organic coconut oil
1 drop Lavender organic essential extract oil.
Stems of Lavender.

In a bowl add 1 drop of lavender oil to 1/2 cup coconut oil and stir well, fill your jar. Add a small stem of lavender to the side.
Because this oil is used on the face only one drop of lavender is sufficient, for body and bath, you can use 2 or 3 drops.

Side note: Use rose organic essential extract oil and a vanilla bean for the other versions.

I love tags with gifts so I made this printable tag of coconut lavender oil pic in case you want to give it away as a gift at a party or for your friends. This is great for VT also (little gifts when visiting teaching a friend for church ). Just click copy and paste. Print it and make a hole with a puncher. Tie it with a ribbon or twine. For personal use only

Easy Nail art cheetah design DIY

This is a very easy nail art cheetah design tutorial. You may start to be Cheetah obsessed and paint everything cheetah like me...

  1. Apply 2 coats of Hard candy 623 crush on gold.
  2. Paint random spots with sinful colors professional 947 Mint Apple on one finger and Rimmel London 510 Pink-a-boo on the other.
  3. You can use black polish and a thin brush but I used Sally Hansen nail art Pen in Black/Noir. Line the dots with 3 or 2 lines and fill the empty spaces between dots with "C" shaped lines.
  4. Apply a top coat to protect your design. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-chip top coat.
I matched my other fingers with the colors I already had and added stickers on my thumb and pinky.
The other blue polish with black and white dots is Hard Candy in 664 Gummy green. A very favorite effect in a bottle.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and start painting your nails and have fun. You can't go wrong with the color you use for the cheetah design. Experiment and do it again if you don't like the effect. This is why I love painting my nails. If you don't like it you just do it again few days later.
This is a new trend. Mimi and I have enjoyed doing our nail and think about new designs.
Do you paint your nails? Fake nails? Shellac?

Pretty pictures from my cell phone

I have fun with my cell phone. I do a lot of blogging actually with it and I am always amazed of the quality and possibilities. I use Bonbon pic a lot for filters. Erasing imperfections and if it adds me 10 pounds, I use... "make me thin" filter. You can check what happened lately on my blog on my side bar for last month and this month...

Our trip to St George was so fun!
Great Features. I love fabric and those are perfect!
You are loved and Soleil's picture grabbing all the heart attack from my 12 year old on the wall was precious.
My new button and chalkboard art class

We are pretty funny and sometimes I write down what we say. We had a great Easter hunt and day.
Paper craft projects are always fun and those are pretty easy I think. My fun beauty products giveaway. I just love makeup and all that. Makes me happy so I hope that you like to win those giveaways. Mimi and I started doing nails and I will do a post about all our designs. We are having fun. I love cupcakes so you will find a lot of them right now and baby because they are cute together...
I felt so blessed. I was on KSL 5 TV, the browser 5.0 for blog of the week. It was a little scary and my brain froze a little bit but I think I did good. But most of all it was a blast! Got some Easter Egger eggs from a friends. I love chickens and those fresh and beautiful green eggs were such a treat for me. General conference was awesome. Always hard to keep the kids in front of the TV and I was not ready with games to make them interested. I won't forget next time. Zacky got a hair cut. He always looks like a new dog and Soleil was very intrigued by this new "Chihuahua ". Priceless. The poor dog is cold but he doesn't look like a pillow and can actually see where he is going and runs through the house...LOL

You can see the braid and cheetah Technic above. I think we are addicted and I just made a cheetah tutorial, check tomorrow. Sweet recipes at the latest link party. In detail of what I wore on TV. My girl turned 6 and she had a cat in the hat party, Coming soon on the blog of course. I just launched a huge Giveaway for my new App celebration. Hope you entered :)
I am a little back to reply to all comments but I will visit soon.

I am so exited for this giveaway! I have been working very hard to give you fun Apps.  Previously my "Make Me Skinny" or Bon Bon app has kept many of you entertained as you edited and adjusted photos on your iPhones, and now I'm excited to announce the released of an entirely new app!  This one is different, and for Android!

What is Smartphone DNA?
Smartphone DNA is an app dedicated to Twitter users, and it allows you to collect your Twitter DNA via your Android phone, and then compare it against other twitter users to see how much you match!  This is a great way to locate new Twitter friends that have things in common with you!

How it works:
  1. Smartphone DNA shows you a list of apps you currently have installed.
  2. You select the apps you want to share as part of your DNA
  3. Smartphone DNA shows you how closely you match the DNA of other users.

Smartphone DNA is 100% secure and controlled by you.

Win a Kindle Fire HD
To celebrate the release of Smartphone DNA, Isabelle is offering one lucky newsletter subscriber  a brand new Kindle Fire HD!  Can you say wow?  This is the reader of all readers-with a 7" full color HD display, exclusive Dolby audio, and ultra-fast WiFi it's top of the line.  Don't miss out on this opportunity to have one for yourself!  Follow the break to enter the giveaway:
