I made some cute Mother's Day tags for Church. I used an assortment of papers.
This one looks very Shabby chic to me.
I used a special scripture for it, very appropriate for Mother's day!
Proverbs 3:15
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
I thought I would do a tutorial on how to make an English cabbage rose for your cards and scrapbooking.
It is very easy.
You will need:
A paper punch in a flower shape,
Brads,
Jewels if you want,
Tissue paper,
Punch your tissue paper,
Pass your brad through the middle.
Pass it through your paper,
Wrinkle the Tissue paper with your fingers.
I glued a Jewel on the brad.
Happy Mother's Day, Don't let any idiots tell you you are not special.
Love you guys!

happy mother's day dear!!!! this is very beautiful piece!!!

How many Layers Of Tissue Paper Did You Use To Make One Flower?
ReplyDeleteI used 2 but it depends also on your tissue paper. The dollar store has less layers than Target. You will need to experiment. There is a limit you can pass through with the brag. I pass through a small amount at a time. More layers, the better it will look. Hope it helps.
ReplyDeleteTarget tissue paper that is...
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I wonder what it would be like to make a really huge one (using scissors instead of a stamp) and hanging it? :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Petra. It would make a big pompon!! That would've very pretty!

Cute flower! The paper serving as a decorative backdrop to this project has caught my eye. It looks like pink flocked damask wallpaper. Where did you get it???????? I'm looking for something like this (although preferably red on red) for my dollhouse.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers! Just gorgeous! Question though.....exactly how many petals are in each flower? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteDonna
The Damaske is not wall paper it is just a piece of paper.
ReplyDeleteFor how many layers, try to fit 2 bunches like in the picture above. unfold the tissue paper and make 2 punches. You can always take some off or add to it until you like it.
