Avatar, the last air bender party!

FRENCH OBSESSION PARTY AND GIVE AWAY AUGUST 1ST!

Hubby just came back from China. He stayed 1 week there. He said all the little kids wear this outfit. The only difference between boys and girls is that the boys have shaved hair...

I used a big cupcake pan...Use your favorite chocolate cake recipe....I froze  the cake and cut it to fit right and cut the top...a little bit...

Then, Aang goes in the middle...
Rock candies

Yep, kid walking on counter = Icing on the feet!

I added some blue food coloring to the white icing and piped it to look like water... My goal was to have the elements of Earth/rocks.
Water/blue icing. Fire/ fire works sparklers...For air, i could not find anything~

I lighted up the sparklers all at once and placed them in cake...

My Fairy was quite tired...She fell asleep in the theater.
Hubby is still tired from his trip...

We saw Avatar the last airbender movie.
I liked this movie! I watched all the cartoons with the kids and i am a big fan. If you have not seen the cartoons, you might get bored...I loved it! I can watch element bending all day! LOL

Me and Lola...

have you seen the movie?
If you could bend an Element which one
For me it would be water

I call this mosaic cupcake trouble....The cake got a chunk ate out to start...Picture on left...

  11. Oh, this cake is fantastic even if you didn't see the movie. However did you create the frosting to look like that. What tip did you use. I can tell I would like a slice since I am a frosting lover - 2 parts frosting to one part cake. So glad I hopped on over. This would be a fabulous boy's birthday cake this year.

  13. I saw this a few weeks ago. I do not have kids and have never seen the cartoons but my best friend was in town with her boys so I went with them to kill a rainy day. I thought for a 3D movie they didnt really do much cool 3D stuff...I was comparing it to Avatar ther other movie that rocked! Over all it was a cute movie and a good way to spend an afternoon but I wouldnt see it again.

  39. Hi! I'm a new follower and also live in Utah. What an amazing cake, you must be the best mom! I've not seen the movie yet, but have watched the cartoons with my dd. Like you, I'd pick water bending, altho earth bending like little Toph would be cool. I'm excited that Nickelodeon is making a spin-off series from Avatar, The Legend of Korra, to be aired next year. It takes place 70 years after Aang is gone, and Korra is the granddaughter of Aang and Katara. Can't wait! Too bad your little one fell asleep during the movie. I love your blog! Dianne in UT

  51. I think that the air element is represented by the glider. :)

My husband and I love the Avatar series, although we have yet to see the movie for fear it might not live up to our expectations, haha. I would def choose to airbend! The idea of semi-flying is just too exhilarating....
