We went to Downtown St George....It looks like Salt lake there too with beautiful Antique homes and green lawns.
We saw Brigham Young House (BUY was named of him if you are familiar with football)...It was his winter house and he would stay away from the snow and stay here 5 months in winter and then go back to salt lake the rest of the time.
I WOULD LOVE to do that!
The house is adorable. I forgot my camera in the car for the tour...Crap. They kept it all like at the pioneer time with furniture...everything. So cool. OH i would make a terrible pioneer...LOL. They were strong, i tell you.
On the side of the yard, they had grape vines, a fig tree and pecan tree. Yum!
I would love to have tropical trees! Oh well, any fruit tree would make me happy. LOL.
During the civil war, they were growing cotton in St George. How cool is that!
We did some hiking...
The kids loved the caves...
Oh so pretty and so much history. What a charming home old Brigham had! I didn't know he had a home in St. George too. I love going through Provo and seeing all the BY historic homes.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful valley! Thanks for popping over. Gonna go check out your blog since I am a new follower.

What a great house. I just love southern Utah. I think I could move there in a heart beat if it weren't for that thing called a "job"!
